To children, we give our heart and soul… Eicher School Faridabad aims to be an institution of high ethical standards, creating an effective learning environment that is absolutely free from fear.
Eicher School Faridabad was established in 1994 as a Senior Secondary school primarily for the employees of Eicher Tractors Ltd. Initially housed in a residence in Sector 21A, the school predominantly enrolled children from employee families. Reflecting its patronage by the workforce, the school initially offered two streams – one in Hindi and the other in English. Over time, there was a growing preference among employees for English medium education. Consequently, by 1995, Eicher School Faridabad transitioned into a fully English medium school.
Under the leadership of the founder Principal, Ms. Kamayani Asthana, the school relocated to a 5-acre plot in Sector-46, where the current building stands. In 2001, Ms. Ritu Kohli succeeded her, and in 2020, Ms. Arpita Chakraborty assumed leadership of the school. Today, it is recognized as one of the premier educational institutions in Faridabad, affiliated with CBSE for classes Nursery to XII.
With its impressive infrastructure, which includes an air-conditioned multi-purpose hall, three swimming pools (including an all-weather pool), computer labs, a Math Lab, Tinkering Lab, well-equipped rooms for Fine Arts, Western and Indian classical dance and music, and a sprawling playground, the school offers all modern facilities in an environment conducive to learning.
Our curriculum not only covers the CBSE Board standards but also emphasizes life skills essential for navigating future challenges.
We strive to create a joyful learning environment, free from stress and fear. At our school, we nurture the spirit of inquiry, exploration, reasoning, and collaboration to foster a conducive atmosphere for learning. Our focus on multiple intelligences aims to prepare students for life beyond academics. Recognizing that students thrive and discover their latent talents in an atmosphere of happiness and joy, we prioritize their emotional well-being and positive mood.
Home visits, mentorship, and a buddy system strengthen the bonds of love and trust within our school community. Preventive counseling is in place to address personal issues effectively, ensuring that our children grow into emotionally balanced individuals.
Recognizing that learning is diverse and dynamic, we have developed a creative and innovative curriculum. In the Foundation Years and Pre-Primary sections, we have designed different zones to provide children with varied learning environments. This approach caters to their individual needs and acknowledges that they are not a homogeneous group.
Class assemblies and projects are a cornerstone of our approach, where students delve into topics of their choice for in-depth research. These engaging projects encompass field trips, expert insights, and extensive research, allowing students to gain comprehensive knowledge beyond textbook learning. This experiential learning not only enriches their understanding but also leaves a lasting impact.
Our science labs, Tinkering Lab, computer labs, language lab, maths lab, and social science lab serve as vibrant hubs of learning. These facilities provide hands-on experiences that complement classroom instruction, enabling students to grasp concepts more effectively and develop practical skills.
Career counseling is a regular feature for students in classes IX-XII, aimed at acquainting them with various options and guiding them in making informed choices regarding their academic streams and future careers based on their interests and aptitudes.
A series of workshops and training programs ensure that our teachers stay updated with the latest trends and changes in the field of education. This continuous learning environment empowers everyone as learners, fostering a culture of growth and adaptation.
Educational trips and annual leadership camps play a pivotal role in nurturing students’ self-confidence, awareness, and open-mindedness. These experiences are designed to broaden their perspectives and prepare them to face challenges confidently.
‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ — the world is a family. Our school embraces international learning by hosting guest teachers and student delegations from around the globe for exchange programs. These initiatives are designed to expand horizons, foster cultural and community understanding, and encourage a diverse approach to learning.
Basketball, volleyball, football, badminton, skating and swimming are offered by the school. They give the students a break from academics and help them to meet their daily fitness goals.
Our students excel not only academically but also in a wide array of extracurricular activities, providing them with exposure, confidence, and the opportunity to sharpen their talents. They have achieved notable success in swimming at district, state, national, and even Asian Games levels. Additionally, they shine in dramatics and debates.
Beyond academics and sports, our students are instilled with a sense of social responsibility and environmental consciousness. Initiatives like Green the Gene and Aahvaan, coupled with activities such as paper bag making and distribution, rainwater harvesting, composting, tree plantation, and cleanliness drives, are integral to their education. Moreover, our school discourages the use of plastic water bottles, lunch packs, and aluminum foils. To further promote sustainability, we have installed a 50kW solar voltaic plant to cultivate a green environment within our campus.
Regular visits to old age homes and orphanages cultivate sensitivity and empathy in our students, nurturing them into compassionate individuals. Our curriculum emphasizes value-based education, recognizing its importance in today’s world.
As an inclusive school, we provide quality education to differently abled children on a significant scale. Through compassionate support from their peers, these students develop social adaptability and thrive in our inclusive environment.
Since 2002, our school has organized SPIC MACAY events to enrich students’ understanding of our rich cultural heritage. We take pride in being the only school in North India to successfully host TEDx Youth events. Twice honored with the International School Award by the British Council, and recognized as The Best Place to Study in India by the British House of Commons, we uphold a standard of excellence.
Under the Goodearth Foundation’s guidance, we are dedicated to nurturing confident, sensitive, and responsible citizens of tomorrow. Our journey towards excellence is ongoing and steadfast.
